remote start atv

im going to put a remote start on my atv i was wondering is there anyway i dont have to find a tach my atv dosent have one that i can see thanks for any help850 volvo

Depending on your remote start, you don't really need one, I have a Viper 791XV alarm/starter on my truck, and it has a function you can program to simply crank the engine for a certain amount of time, which you also program.. Also, it has a function to sense voltage rather then a tach signal, so you could use any wire that produces voltage when running.. Not sure if a basic remote start would have these features or not.. Is your ATV a 12 volt or 6 volt system? I assume you know it needs to be 12v.

Alot of the remote starts I've seen tell you to simply use a coil wire for a tach wire, you could try that.
