I have recently been working on the trunk of a '91 caprice (please no comments about the car, only the install). It is the first time I have done this type of install but I think it is going well. The box will house 2 Infinity Reference 12's and he wanted to use his Punch 500 amp. I still have some smoothing to do and I have to make sure all the panels fit just right. It is going to be some combination of paint and vinyl to match the interior but I am not sure as to what it will be.

Looks great man, really like what you have done there, might be an idea to put dynamat or something of the kind down under the install but its definately taking shape, get some filler on now! keep us updated with progress!

I am going to agree with Dyson on that one, put something down, otherwise your losing valiable pressure and responce. As far as his setup goes, I would have run some more high end stuff if I was going to go to that extent in my trunk. I hope you are making some nice money tho bro! Does look great! What will be mounted under the trunk latch where it comes out? Is anything else going to show? I.e. Caps, batts, amps, DB's, ect..?

The customer is mostly concerned with how it looks and not really how it sounds. I agree I would have used different stuff as well, but that is what he wanted. That spot at the trunk latch has a space where a blue neon light goes. The box is going to be white so it will shine out onto the box. If I was doing this for myself I would have done some things differently, but his money is good. I think I have about 40 hours to this point. As I said this was the first time I have done this type of install so I made a few mistakes initially that caused a little more work. I hope to have it ready to cover this weekend so expect an update then.

Man cuz, your work is always off the meat rack.  I thought you fell off the map.  I have a bubble that I will be working on this summer after I finish my Durango.  You just gave me some sick ideas for my bitch.  I know you asked not to say anything about the car, but I have to say thank you for showing the bubble some love.  In the south that type of car is a diamond to the tru players.  For those who don’t know a diamond starts with a piece of coal!  I have one question for you pimp.   What was your process for make this sides of the box?  I’m talking about the third picture.   It looks like you used chop mat and resin.   Do you have any more pic’s?

I only said not to mention the car because last time it got a little ugly.  I'm from Texas and these things are everywhere. For the sides of the box I did it just like the rest. Made the frame and stretched fabric. Then I used chopped mat until it was strong enough to come out.
