I replace four RF301m amplifiers (one for each sub) with the 2500d.

Its loud but lacks the something in the bass.
The RF301m seemed to have more impact with the 10s hit...
i am thinking about removing the 2500d and reinstalling my 301m's
i have tweaked the 2500d settings for over a month and cannot get the same quality of bass the 301m's provide with the same subs/box/deck
Config:::

120 amp alternator (already upgraded from stock 90amp)
Alpine 9833 control unit w/3 4 volt pair of outs

Could you be a little more specific about the "quality of bass".  You maybe lacking in your power supply. The 2500d can draw ~280 amps of current, and if it's straved for power it counld affect the fullnest of bass.

I think Ispker hit it on the nail, you are starveing that amp majorly!  You need at least a 200 amp alternator to keep up with that set up.   Just imagine yourself strapped to a horse buggy and a straw taped to your mouth, all you can do is breath through the straw.  Now you start running out of breath so the guy rideing in the buggy starts whipping you to make you run faster ( cranking the volume) and you just can't do it so you slow down or pass out....

That 2500D should beat the crap out of those subs. Give it the juice and turn it loose. More power please; that is what it would say if it could talk.
