Doing a 2002 Dodge Caravan:

#1 Unlock wont work, my resistor is 6.6k ohm, is that off too much from the 6.5k ohm reccomended?

#2 Parking lights are multiplex, my auto start schematics say a 3k ohm resistor, but does not list the wire or where it is.  What colour and where is it?

#3 I found the "yellow" 2nd starter wire, but could not find the 1st starter wire, i believe it was PURPLE / brown, can i get a confermation on the starter wire colours and where they should be located.

Thanks

Ok, Ill give you some secrets. The lock wire needs to be a 5.3k to ground. Unlock needs to be a 2k. Don't have to be dead on but close is good. Easy enough. The 180 ohm resistor is for the violet brown. That goes to ground during start only. Now for my best kept secret. Instead of flashing the parking lights and wasting your relay and resistor the easiest thing to do is flash the hazards. It is the bottom plug on the BCM and the wire color is white with a dark blue stripe. It is a simple negative trigger. The hazards are brighter and work like a champ. No wasting time with five wiring the park lights. I put a remote start today in an 02 Town and Country which is the same vehicle. I used the DEI 561t and the 555c bypass. The vehicle is very easy to do. The only extra I had to do was the factory alarm bypass during remote start. You have to use a 9.1k resistor to ground at the BCM. Good luck.

You can use the BROWN wire at the dirver's kick panel as well for the (+) parking light. Works everytime.

This van has been nothing but a pain in the but!  I got everything done and working except the security bypass.  I have the kind of bypass where the antenna wraps around the ignition 3-6 times,,whell i did that and it gave me the confirmation that it read the code, but when i remote start it does the old start and die meaning the bypass isn't sending the code.  (everything works fine when the key is inserted when remote starting)   Where exatcly should i wrap the antenna?  I have it wraped around the factory security plastic piece that reads the factory key, should i put it infront of it?

As you can tell i haven't done alarm/starters for a year, i had a security specialist do that work, but he moved on.

Is the ground out when running wire connected to the bypass? Sounds like it might be the case. If you wrap the wire around the factory key cylinder it will do. Sometime you have play with it just a bit to get to the sweet spot.

Yup, ground out is connected, and tested to be working.  I guess i'll fiddle with the antenna more.
