Its finally Here! after being on back order for months my Infinity REF 1211a amp is here! Now i need some advice on what to do Heres the specs on the amp
CEA Rated:Yes
Power Output:854 watts RMS x 1 channel at 4 ohms and ¡Ü 1% THD + N 1300 watts RMS x 1 channel at 2 ohms, 14.4V supply and ¡Ü 1% THD + N
Signal-to-Noise Ratio:72 dBA (reference 1 watt into 4 ohms)
Dynamic Power:1516 watts at 2 ohms
Effective Damping Factor:6.357 at 4 ohms
Frequency Response (-3dB):17Hz to 302Hz (-3dB)
Maximum Input Signal:5.7V
Maximum Sensitivity:260mV
Output Regulation:.132 dB at 4 ohms
MSRP U.S. $:$574.95

Heres the Specs on the 10" Perfects im hooking it up to ( I have two). This rating is @ 4 ohms

Power Handling, RMS:400 Watts
Power Handling, Peak:1600 Watts
Sensitivity:90dB
Frequency Response (¡À3dB):25Hz - 400Hz
Mounting Depth:6-1/2"
Impedance:2 or 8 Ohms depending on wiring

Should I hook it up 2 ohms or 4 ohms to this amp? Would it over power the two 10" that i have if I hooked it up 2 ohms? Would it be better SQ @ 4 ohms?

4 ohms.  You have absolutely nothing to gain running at 2.

What? kfr01 he can't hook them up at 2-ohms.
Nismo350z:
Your only wiring choice is 4-ohms.

That amp should pound those *very* nicely.
Perfect 10VQ's? Nice choice.

Nice catch sedate.  I was carelessly paying attention only to his question and the power numbers, not his actual subwoofer wiring options.  Stick around this forum - we could use knowledgable & sharp folks that can point out mistakes like that.  :-)

Sedate is 100% correct.

Yep, wire each in series seperately, then parallel together for a 4 ohm load on the amp. The amp will put out the 800 that the subs will take.
