No, for subs you only need one channel.  You want a a mono amp or a stereo amp capable of being bridged.  Here's a beginner's guide to choosing an amp for two subs.  Find the RMS (or continuous) power rating of each sub (NOT the peak rating, this means nothing to you.)  Add the two ratings together.  This is the total watts you do not want to exceed.  Now determine the impedence rating of each sub (this is measured in Ohms) and if the subs are SVC (single voice coil) or DVC (dual voice coil.)  How you wire the subs will determine the net impedence load on the amp.  There is a calculator on this site (look at the links to the left) to help you if you don't know how to calculate impedence.  In general, you want to wire your two sub system so that the total net impedence load to be 4 ohms or higher for a SQ setup or 2 ohms (in general) for a setup designed for SPL.  Now you know the total power rating of both subs and the net impedence load you will place on the amp, go find a mono amp that can supply up to the rated power into the net impedence you intend to create.  Or a stereo amp that can be bridged into these numbers.  Bridgeable stereo amps are generally cheaper than mono amps.

I usually recomend a mono class D amp for subwoofers.   I also recoemdn that if you have never done this before, you pay for help from a pro in your area and learn.

Well I was just wondering if that was a good amp at all...some people just don't like the brand, or something like that.  I could definitely match the subs to fit the amp, seeing as how that's supposedly a hell of a deal.  I think Rockford's supposed to be a good brand, so I could get one of those amps then match a couple subs to it.  What do you think?  Maybe a couple Brahmas?
