I have a question I can't figure out what Kicker amp I can use with this sub...well actually there will be 2 subs and two amps running each sub.

Here is the specs on the sub..

Model S12X

Size 12"

Impedence, 1 or 2 ohm DVC

Max Rec Amplifier Power  (watts peak) 5000

Max Rec Amplifier Power (watts RMS) 2500

Sensitivity (dB 1W/1M) 87.7

Freq. Response 20-100 HZ

Mounting Depth (IN, CM) 8-9/16, 21.7

Mounting Cutout Square (IN., CM) 11-1/4,28.6

I would like to stick with Kicker for the amps also...So if anyone can help me out it would be great.

TIA

I think Kicker makes a 2500.1, run one of those to each sub. The only question is, can your cars electrical system handle it?? You are going to need a huge alternator, and maybe even some extra batterys to power those bad boys.

Even if I have my alternator redone?  I know i'm gonna need a battery to run those mofo's...sh*t there gonna be in a Scion xB so I don't even think the battery nor the altenator is going to be able to handle it.

Start with an alternator then get a system to suit.  If you get 2 amps that big you are going to be popping alts and battery's weekly.  For that kind of system you are going to need about a 250 amp alternator to sorta keep up.

Check out www.mechman.com www.mean-green.com www.ohiogen.com Dominick Iraggi alts on e-bay.   You will not be able to get your factory alt rebuilt big enough to support the power needs you have.  If you cant get a bigger alt, throw your ideas out the window cuz it aint gona happen.
