This weekend I started my system make over. I started by working on a new center console. Here are a few progress pictures so far. The sides are going to be vinyl and the fiberglass part along with the flat wood part on top will be painted black to match my truck. Then there is going to be another vinyl piece that goes on top of the flat top piece. I will work on it some more next weekend and start a new box soon. When I get more done I will post pictures.

You know what I do thats kind of different from everyone else? When I build a console I use thin wood like 1/4. I glue the peices together using cA and accelerator; that way I can get the pieces to join together at any weird angles I want then I just fleece and fg the whole thing. When I'm done it's light yet sturdy.
Tell the Snap-On guy I'm not here!

Are the clothes hangers to make ridges in the down slope right there? If they are could you show a picture from a different angle? I'M interested in how that turns out.

The hangers were supposed to make a ridge that extended down from the points on the top MDF piece, but I set them a little low. I didn't get the full effect I wanted but it was close enough and I did not want to redo it. I don't have any pictures that really show it because they were to low.

Thats what I thought they were for. I wanted to see it because I did the same thing you did. They really stand out more before you add the resin don't they?
