Well, if you are just looking for some punchy lows then try the JL6WO's or the Focal 5WS. Both will need a small enclosure but, they take a very very small one. The JL 6WO needs .15 to 2.0. That can easily be built into the doors. Or Even the rear pilars if someone knows what they are doing.

Thanx Chris,  That is what I thought after reading about the 6wo's.   I just wanna throw em in the rear pillars, don't know the CF back there, but it is basically an enclosure already.  How bad will they sound if the volume is off either way??

I would try to stay as close to the recomended size as possable, you may be able to get away with  a .1 ft^3 difference.

A friend of mine had a 6.5" ADS comp set getting 100watts or so (I don't remember, it was getting a bridged soundstream rubicon) in a Sentra a few years back... they had hella midbass response ... but the overall volume was rather underwhelming and... like I said... they were getting 100watts a piece.

That's odd.  I used to run a set of a/d/s/ 6.5" components and my only complaint was the lack of midbass they had.  They got plenty loud for me though, even on the freeway with the windows down.

You  might look into the Morel or Dynaudio mid-woofers too, I have heard good things about both. I use Diamond Audio Hex 61/2 woofers and I like the sound they produce.

I've often found comparing mid-bass output from the same mid-range speaker (or coaxial) in different cars often has more to do with the car they are installed in than the speaker... how well of a natural enclosure they are installed in, how damped the door is, how careful the installer is to ensure that airtight seal around the gasket.. etc. etc. Maybe this is the case here?
When I say "hella midbass" what I should say is, tonally, the midbass seemed as pronouced as the rest of the sound... not usually a distinction I give to car speakers.

When I say these speakers were *clean* I mean it. Some of the most articulate speakers I've heard.. but the part I like about your post is exactly what blew my mind about these A/D/S's... you literally could NOT hear them on the freeway with the windows down! This is a componet set that set my friend back like $500 getting an entire 4-channel dedicated to them and the best they can do is play well at a stoplight?!
My friend always insisted that he loved 'em.. but he's also the kind of person that wouldn't admit otherwise after $500..
That is kinda how I describe my 13W6 to ppl... "I've been ADSed..."
