I just bought a proximity sensor .. tring to install it on my current 1st generation compustar... unplugged the shock sensor & plugged the badboy in but no luck. its a duel zone sensor with a red & green light... the red light, lights up.. but the sensor doesnt seem to be doing its job.. I armed the alarm, waited for 1 minute & went buck on the car.. but no warning or anything..

this is my frst time tring to install a proximity sensor .. not too sure how to get this thing working.

another question is it possible to wire the proxi sensor parallel to my shock sensor ir will i need something else?

your zones might be mixed up, specially if the proximity sensor is of different brand than the alarm. if you wire them in parallel diode isolate each zone.
