Hello everyone, I have a question, if you get an aftermarket alarm/rs put on your vehicle (04 yukon denali), can it be disarm from the driver's door lock like it can with the factory.  What I mean is they are getting into the cars by popping the driver's lock and disarming the factory arm.  On this car you use the 456G to hook up the aftermarket alarm.  With that said can the aftermarket alarm be bypassed by popping that driver's door lock or does it actually see the door is open like you have door pins?  The aftermarket alarm is automate am7.  Thanks in advance!

If you don't use the interface, you can definatly make it do it.

Your aftermarket alarm will arm and disarm your factory alarm. Your factory alarm cannot arm or disarm your automate alarm. Therefore, if thieves are breaking into the door to disarm the factory alarm, it will not affect your aftermarket automate alarm- it will still go off.

Thanks for the response oonikfraleyou, bob k, and tcool.  If I'm understanding this right, even if they would pop the driver's door lock the aftermarket alarm is still active and will sound when the door is open.  Even if you use the 456G interface?  I thought you would have to go directly to the door trigger wires in the bcm from the aftermarket alarm?  I'm just trying to make sure I'm understanding this right.  Thanks again!
