problem solved everyone. the 4awg ground wire was not secure properly, i think the paint on the metal was scraped with a wire brush..so i took a flat head screwdriver got it down to the metal (shiney ooooo shiney) hooked up a better screw to it. and blam! we have workage music! :) ever notice that the most simplestic things are under your nose!? :P thanx for your help everyone! :)

Good for you.  Ground is always one of the first things to check!  I have never seen a Kenwood amp like less than a 2-ohm load, by the way.  If yours does, cool. 

I HIGHLY recomend you disconnect any lighting load from the remote power lead!  Most HUs are rated for miliamps on the remote lead and you will eventually blow this power supply inside your HU.  I'm surprised you haven't already.  Use the remote wire to trigger a relay to switch your lights if you must but power them with a properly fused power lead to the battery.
