I have an Alpine CDA-9830 HU and a MRV-F450 5 channel amp.  Which will provide better results:

1.  Running the amp full range and using the HU crossover settings and controls?

2.  Running the HU full range and using the amps crossover settings?

For ease of use i would use the head unit crossovers, however alpine head unit crossovers are not as accurate as one may think so if your serious about your settings use the amp crossovers.

Use the amp xovers...the 9830 doesn't have enough different setting if you ask me (I have a 9831 and the system sounds much better running it fullrange)
