Hifonics ZX800 50X4+200X1 - Anything bad I should know about this amp.

Does anyone have any experience with HIFONICS ZS6.2C 6.5" coponents (Zeus line like the amp above).

If you had to choose between Crystal CPe60 components and the Hifonics which one would you get?

(*** I don't have a stereo shop which caries the 3 items above near me so I can't test them before buying****)

I have used...
HiFonics ZX4000, ZX6000, BX1500D, BX1605D, ZX6400...
I cant say a bad thing about these amps! dollar for dollar, nothing beats them. They may be SLIGHTLY overrated (at a 12.4V standpoint) but nothing more. The amp you are looking at should do a great 4.1 channel output if that is what you need.
As for the components, ill tell you they are amazing for the money as well. I have not had a chance to hear the new zeus speakers, but i have a set of 5.25"s sitting in my house, waiting to be installed into a customers car. The magnets are HUGE AND HEAVY, and its a 18db /oct Xover, so it looks promising. I have used the OLD zeus series (now the Atlas series) components and other than mild EQ'n, they sounded amazing. The midbass response was VERY good for its price range (not much i have heard that could beat it).
If you can spend a bit more, go with the atlas series (i know its not much more if you shop around).
I have not heard those crystal components listed, so i couldnt compare...

Thanks Nodestiny - I was confused I was under the wrong impression that Zeus was the topline (I've looked at the website and Zeus was listed at the top + I know Zeus was the man back at Mt Olympus so I said hey Zeus must be the top ;) )....I'll try to get the price on the Atlas and maybe they have some nice 6X9 for the back.

Do something basic and cheap for rear end (to be honest). Rear fill is ment to please the rear passangers... if you can hear and locate the back speakers from the upfront seats, they are too loud and should be turned down. Of course, this is just if you are a true SQ fanatic :D The average person likes to be able to hear both of them... but may add confusion, cancellation, off sound staging, etc. from the front end where the sound is most important ;) Just a thought.

... rear fill is needed for proper "staging" and "imaging" music in any car is never designed or built for anyone in the

Yea imaging and staging are greatly improved by rear-fill speakers.. they help alot with the vicious side-biasing in cars. I hate 'SQ' installs that just have a pair of componets and a sub....   everyone always rags on and on about how good they sound but if you move your head <even slightly> the SQ goes all to crap cuz its like ur listening to headphones with only one earpiece working.

I have to agree, I always have a decnt set of speakers in the rear for some fill. I like the imaging better when running a rear channel and not just a front channel.
