i have 2 15" punch HE's there going in my wifes 93 s-10 blazer  suggestions on on air space and vent size  im selling the amp that was running them im looking at some lanzar amps any body have good or bad luck with them ?

generally vented or ported boxes produce the most volume with lower power. However they don't always have a very smooth response.

If you want pure SPL go with a bandpass. Also, Lanzar is about the same quality as Pyle and Pyramid. Maybe a little better.

i have a sealed box thats 2.25 cubes per sub .what amp would you recommend for these subs ,and if i built a vented box that was about 3 cubes per sub would it be that much louder ?????

ill get back to you on box specifics however 3 cubes tuned to about 40hz will get you into the ballpark for spl on the meter....  Fire the subs up, ports to the back and put each sub in a seaparate chamber.  Proven setups in the lanes for legal metering.

vents or ports and what size ???? any amp suggestions???? i know they can handle more than there rated power i just dont know how much more they are rated at 200 RMS

You will decrease power handling in a vented enclosure, so try to keep the power right around the rms figure.

thanks dwarren i will do that can you think of any good amps that are right around 400 to 450 rms at 2 ohms with low THD levels with remote bass control thats not to expensive

hmm, no too expensive is a little vague, why not a Soundstream?best box for SPL -- posted image.

Crutchfield has two amps on there for $229. An MTX thunder2301, 300 wrms @ 2 ohms and Fosgate punch 3001 with the same specs. The difference between 450 watts and 300 watts will be inaudible so don't worry about it.
Us Acoustics makes a pretty decent amp for the money, they don't over exaggerate the numbers, however I can't find any right now.
