Hi all, I have just finished building a new truck body for a customer and it has hydraulics fitted to it that are controlled by a remote control. The remote control has 8 functions. Function 1 & 2 control 1 hydraulic cylinder in each direction and so does function 3 & 4 and 5 & 6. All of the functions are a momentary function. Now function 7 & 8 are also momentary but the customer has asked me if I can use function 7 to turn the work lights on, then turn them off again with the same button. The same goes for function 8 except for that it will turn on and off the traffic warning lights. Now keeping in mind that this truck is a 24volt system and the remote is also a 24volt system, what kind of help can anyone give on relays for this operation. I am very limited with room because all of this is to be mounted under the passenger side seat and I think a lot of relays and diodes are out of the question. The remote is also positive trigger not negative as in most cases.

Thanks in advance.

You need a Toggle Latching Relay.

Potter & Brumfield #S89R5ABC1 . . . Contacts 15 Amps 125/250 VAC resistive load. For each input pulse to coil, a latching toggle mechanism flips the position of a microswitch's wiper arm to low, high etc. Coil 120 VAC, 220 ohms, 75 mA. 0.187 quick connect terminals. Size 2.7 x 1.73 x 2". UL Listed, CSA Certified. New.

Thanks for the help John, I will definately look into that .

It looks like it may fit under the seat as there will be 2 of them needed to do both sets of lights.
