Hi .I need a relay circuit to energize the relay 10 seconds after the power is connected .

I need it for a paging system to be connected to the sirens output ,so when the alarms sounds ..10 seconds later it will become active via relay .As, if I dont have the timed circuit it will page when the car is armed and disarmed every time .

dei makes a timer module you can use to control your relay. a 528t i think.

The capacitor allows the coil of the relay to be energized until the capacitor stores a charge, thus de-energizing the coil. The resistor bleeds off the charge of the capacitor when positive voltage is removed from the other side of the coil. You can increase the output time by simply changing the value of the capacitor. This one will give you about a 1/2 second output.

I think that is the opposite of what Tame Iti is looking for. Try www.amperite.com and look at the C Series Solid State time delay relay 12DNO.1-60C

The DEI unit does the OPPOSITE of what he is looking for. He wants the relay to latch AFTER the power is applied. The DEI unit latches right away and will remain latched for a set period of time after power is removed. much like the diagram above.

I went through this already on my previous post on this subject. I ended up with the amperite product.

you can use the dei module to controrl the relay. it will work i've done it before.

switch the 87 and 87a connectors? comon lol
