Wiring a power inverter please help

hello, all

I have 2 12's in my car and have a 250 watt amp running to them, i also have a 1200 watt amp running to my interior speakers, i have both of thoese amps power running off the some power cord, i was wondering if i could also hook the power inverter on this same power wire, it is only 8 cauge and i need to hook this power inverter up. please any ideas please wirte back

I would not . Run a 4 gauge to a distribution block and then run your 8 gauge wires to the appropriate devices from the block. This is safer and will give your amps the needed power to perform properly under load.

Yes thats one way to do it.

Or you can leave your sound system the way it is and run the power for the power inverter directly from your ignition harness (make sure you fuse it). Thats only depending on how big the power inverter is. Anything bigger than a 300watt rms power inverter should get power directly from the battery.
