Hi folks, been lurking a couple of weeks. Lots of good info here and several very knowlegeable members.

Vehicle: 2005 Ford F-150 Lariat SCrew.

Here's what I want to do: Install a second very loud horn. I want to be able to deliver a short beep with the standard horn & by holding the button down (and having the short delay relay) give a very loud blast. I am thinking 0.1-0.25 second delay. Thoughts?

Already on the way into the truck: 1) system to light interior camper lights with both aux light and in-camper switch; 2) system to have auxiliary back up lights triggered by existing b/u lights and in cab switch.

Thanks,

Dave

What you need is a C Series Solid State Time Delay Relay part #12DNO.1-60C from Amperite.  Contact them at 800-752-2329 or www.amperite.com

I would make this unit trigger a relay

That looks like what the doctor ordered.

Thanks,

Dave

to save some money, you can also use a capacitor as detailed https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp in the first application - just switch the 87 and 87a terminals.
