I will get Kicker Refurbed items.   They are tested to the normal operations and then tested past specs to ensure quality.   I also have a Guy who does repairs for me, he offers a 6 month warranty with all his repairs and I have never had an amp break after he repaired it yet!   Now there is an exception to that...We run many competitions and at some shows we run our 1 ohm stable amps strapped so each amp see's .25 ohm.    yes we have burnt a few up, but when you running at .25 instead of 2 ohm strapped something is gonna go wrong.   But he has a competitor pricing, where you pay an initial price, then $45 each time it is blown up.     Great deal in my opionion.    Or maybe we should quit cooking amps2009 0-1000 Trunk WR 154.0DB 2009 1001+ Trunk WR

I had three of the world famous Alpine " Boeing " amps, model T-757 amps catch fire in my showroom. All three refurbs I got back smelled like smoke. If you can't trust Alpine, don't buy a refurb.

I have a factory refurbed JBL 600.1 from sounddomain and ive never had a problem with it. My friend has a refurbed Kenwood amp from a shop and it hasnt casued him any problems. Many factory refurbed items go through more rigirous testing then new products do.
