I have just installed a new 44-PW530 pwr antenna in my Mits.  When I removed the old antenna, it had a 2 wire connector on it. When installed the new ant. it had 2 wires, one red (with fuse) constant +12v, and one blue switched leg. I put my 12v test light on the 2 wire in harness plug and found one wire "hot" when radio first powered on, then goes dead, and the other wire is hot when radio shut off, then goes dead after delay.  I can only assume old power antenna needed 1 hot to raise ant, and 1 hot to lower ant.

I tried finding a constant hot from the switched side of the radio in the harness, but cannot find any other than the speaker wires.

Can anyone give me some ideas on how I can resolve this issue, without having to go to a solid mast antenna?

Thanks,
GAD3
