Is there any ways to stop the rattle... Very cheap?? such as things i could find around the house?.. i have a 77 impala and i have my subs in the trunk.. i get better bass with the subs in the trunk then the back seat but sounds worste on the outside..

the cheapest way? take out the subs.

If youve got the $$ for the stereo but not for the car itself, your prioities are outta joint

ppl have struggled with the rattle for ages- youre not the only one.

I have also had quite a bit of success with "Great Stuff" expanding foam.Very cheap in comparison, and very light wieght.Make sure to use the minimal expanding foam, for windows and doors i believe. The regular type can cause your panels to distort and bow out. Also make sure you have a bit of acetone or a can of carb cleaner on hand, this stuff can be very messy and it's extremely sticky.

i think i'd stick to cardboard behind the plates.

Go through and make sure that the panels are secured, and that your trunk/hatch is tight. Carpet padding is cheap and will help. You could also try fire and ice roof waterproofing or peel and seal. its a cheap alternative to dynamat.
