anyone able to tell me how to install 2 amplifiers, have one. need to add another, not sure how the power and input works with two. also, im gonna be running two mtx 9500's and one 16-PRD1000.1 memphis amp for each one. 1000 watts to each one. goin in my 91 4 runner, think ima need another battery? thanks

9500 subs come in either single 4 ohm or dual 4 ohm (see http://www.mtxaudio.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/thunder9500.cfm). So..the best you can do is use the DVC 4 ohm and wire parallel to 2 ohms. The Memphis amp will output into a 2 ohm load, which will be about 600 watts to each sub (see http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/products/details.asp?cat=&id=66&p=2).

If you want to get 1000 watts to each sub with the two amps, you will have to choose a sub that is available with a DVC 2 ohm voice coil configuration.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Since the day when someone decided he wanted to run two thousand watts for subwoofers. two amplifiers - Last Post -- posted image.

Any time you make a change in your system you are opening a whole new can of worms. The can you open with a doubling of power will be one that will take some time and effort (and $$$$) to get through.

...and your Memphis amps will have hookup instructions.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
