X2 - that was going to be my choice as well. can't beat this sub in that price range.

taurus: These woofers will make you right happy. I'm heavily leaning towards 3 of them to repace my dying 13w6. Car power supplies do not run at a fixed voltage. Literally dozens if not hundreds of factors play into what voltage your car might be at at any given moment. Say you are blasting your stereo, got ur brights and the defrost and the seat warmers on... maybe your car drops down to 11.0 - 10.5 and really starts scraping the battery. On the other hand, nice summer day, windows down, no lights or power anything, just the stereo playing.. you might be pegged at 13.8... either way you really won't notice a sonic difference from your amp. Forget not the amount of electricity your car produces changes, drastically, with engine speed as well. 12v is kinda an average. The true output of your amp would prolly be all over place... unregulated power supplies are kinda like that... again.. you won't really *hear* a difference. For the record, *no* power supply will feed an actively playing subwoofer amplifier with an unchanging 14.4v... thats not really how this stuff works. Read forbidden's comments on this in this thread. Amps get hot. My e6450 runs so hot that after extended playing you cannot keep your hand on it. If ur amp is a class a/b that is pretty standard for the technology. Cooling fans of course help, but the heat won't damage the amp unless you wired you stuff to too low an impedence... like <2ohms.
