Just when i thought my alarm problem was fixed it came back like a bad rash. I have a viper 791xv that was just reinstalled and the tech mentioned that the former installer who got fired forgot to install some wiring needed for my alarm.
with that in mind this guy appeared to seem what he was doing so my alarm was reinstalled it worked fine for 3days and now its doing its thing again. when i go to remote start the car nothing happens the gages turn like its trying to crank the car but nothing happens. and now sometimes my parking brake lights remain on so if i unplug the alarm the lights go off. Dei has replaced this alarm but yet i am still facing this problem I even got pulled over because the alarm seemed to cause the parking brake lights to come on and off on there own while driving. before the install i had the same problem and i would wiggle the stinger shock sensor and the car would start i tried that this time and nothing any ideas before i rip this piece of shhh alarm out? never had so many problems with such a device thats supposed to be top quality.

Don't go blaming the alarm just yet. What kind of car do you have? Auto or manual? The brake light is almost undoubtedly install related and the no crank is more then likely something wrong with the immobilizer defeat or faulty installation.

yep, your remote start problem does sound like a problem with the immbolizer problem. have the place that installed it check to make sure the immbolizer around your key ring is secure and working. as for your parking brake lights, is it your parking lights that are on or is it your brake lights, if it is your parking lights that are on after you try to remote start it, sounds like the installer tried to use what they called a timed output to remote start your car instead of using a tach signal. either way is fine, just that if they used tach, the alarm would reconize your car not starting and would shut off (including your lights).

most likely installer error than product, dei makes great alarms

ok is this imobilizer the 555u unit that the key is placed inside you know the little black box because other then that i do not recall them using a wire that loops around the ignition key entry. and i made a mistake is not the parking brake is the actual brake lights that remain on as i am driving  thats how i got pulled over and even after i shut off the car they remain on at times and when i disconnect the alarm the go off.... i am pissed that i been dealing with this problem for so long if there is anyone that can correct this problem in the central jersey area let me know i will pay you. but not the prices the other dealers been asking me for 250 dollars to reinstall the alarm the hell with them i rather ebay it.. guys let me know how can i correct this problem and my other post was how can i program the spare remote from the older viper 690xv or whatever it was is the white remote. look for my other post and you will see the picture of the remote

That's because most of this thread consists of babble and complaining instead of giving detailed info in order to diagnose the problem correctly.
