power acoustik subs

a guy i know ran 6 of them in a scion XB in a sealed box with two power acoustic amps. They sound like shhh from close up, but when his car was in the install bay, you could hear the bass from inside the middle of the store. like boulderguy said, these would be good for spl, but they are not worth the time it will take to design and build a good ported box. drop them in a bucket, seal that shhh up and toss it in your trunk. I have listened to these in several different enclosures, and they all sounded like shhh. This sub is really really muddy and has no contol. I worked at best buy, we got them for $68 bucks a piece and in my opinion they were not worth that. If you are sticking with stuff from best buy, look at either the Alpine Type-R subs, they have a really nice sound. I would even get rockford stage-2's before i got the power acousic.
