You have to get an add on dvd player, either dvd changer or just a player to hook up to it.  It is a little disappointing if you ask me and I think it will definitly hurt their sales.
Good Luck!

The deal is it was designed primarily for navigation, not in-car entertainment & also to have nav at a lower price point. The targeted customer for this unit is looking for an alternative to the factory nav (if available), or just a nav system/radio - and is either not interested in video, or has a separate entertainment system.

"THE 12v REP" can better explain their thinking than I...

It's your world Homer, I just live in it. Homer is dead on though, Pioneer designed their AVIC-D1 for "The Ultimate Commuter", not the "Car Audio Enthusiast". The D1 is a price point driven navigation system that is loaded with features. And when coupled with the GEX-P10XMT you will receive real time traffic info on your commute, if you are in one of the 22 markets that it is offered in. Not to mention the enhanced XM Radio features. You also receive sports and stock info with the D1/10XMT combo. If someone sold this to you as more than a navigation system, they sold you the wrong unit IMO. Although it is far more, it is not a mobile video entertainment system.
Homer, did you take the online classroom yet for the navi products?
