OK so I have a 2005 Subaru WRX wagon and I installed the AVH-5700 a Vector 400 watt power inverter and my PS2.

My question is when I turn on the inverter and have the Monitor set to Video everything is ok, when I plug in the PS2 even if its not on I get Audio and Video distortion , when I turn the PS2 on I get Very bad audio and white lines on the monitor. I have tried differnt cables for power from PS2 to inverter and Different cables from PS2 to monitor , also tried 2 other inverters. Could it be the Inverters that im using might be missing some kind of filter or something. I work in a Bay and when we do mobile video we usually use Monster Power inverters but we no longer carry them.

I also tried a Game Cube and it did the same thing. After all this I thought my car could have very poor grounds so I regrounded with 4Gauge wire and ground to a couple different points in the Engine bay. Any Advice will help. thanks

The only other thing that has not changed in your scenarios is the Pioneer unit. Have you tried installing other input devices like maybe a DVD player to see if the problem persists without the use of an inverter ? If the problem is still there with a DVD player, then I would suspect the Pioneer system.
