Two 12's vs. one 10 sub

you can get 1 10" sub to be as loud as those two 12" sonys but your not going to save any weight if you got a 10" L7 and put it in a vented box and ran that amp at 2 ohms  only thing the L7's are not much for SQ  if you really want SQ and desent SPL i would keep the amp you have and get a 12" soundstream van gogh and if you can find a good soundstream dealer you should be able to get that sub for about $200 also the van gogh 12 " only needs .6 cubes of air space max www.soundstream.com  and remember JL is way over priced IMO 1974 ford pinto 4 15" punch Z power punch bd 1001 pioneer DEH-6700

Your right about not saving weight with the JL's subs, there like 30lbs for the 10's. My 12 inch Sony are no more than 20lbs each. I never heard of soundstream, but I did find some local dealers, so I will check them out, thanks for the suggestion Blowntweeters. Hey elbee12, let us know how your new subs sound when you install them. Any other input about the other subs I picked?
