1993 intrepid, amp wire?

Yea, you have to have that HU remote wire into amp rem IN for the amp to turn on when you start your ignition. The blue wire should be it, as mine is blue as well. To be sure, take your volt meter and attach positive to the blue wire, and negative to some ground. You should be at 0V, ok? Then start the car, and you should now receive a steady 12V. If thats not it, then keep trying around with all of the wires to be sure.

Yes, the blue wire in the Metra harness will be the amp turn on.  Connect this wire to the blue/white on your head unit.  This wire should show 12v with the stereo on.  If it does not, you can connect to the red wire.  However, if you do this, the amp will stay on whenever the key is on, regardless whether or not the stereo is.

Did you have the factory stereo in there before?  Was it working, or did you maybe just buy this vehicle without a stereo?  You may check to see if the amp has a seperate fuse.
