So let me get this straight. Connect the negitive trigger wire to the N/C connection on the reed switch. Then the ground wire to which connection on the switch?  I make these connections without the second half of the switch?

I Understand about connecting the trigger wire to the NC connection on the switch only.  The ground wire is what confuses me.  Does the ground wire connect to the same as the trigger wire? When you say input do mean the NC connection? here is a picture of one? im lost!alarm for camper shell - Page 2 -- posted image.

When mounting the two halfs of the switch, how close do they have to be to work properly?
