This is the point where someone should be advising you to take this to your nearest audio dealer (i.e. someone who knows what they are doing) and have them set everything properly. Do the reading that dwarren suggested, but at this point, you really should let someone else handle this before you have have to drop another $X on a new setup cause you are destroying your current one. Once you have a clearer understanding of what gains do and car audio in general, then you could go back and do some experimenting without running the risk of damaging your gear.

Man some of ya'll are way to harsh, a simple question and a lot of grief and what makes so bad is the store where he got the equipment at told him that was how it's suppose to be set up so he the poor guy gets attacked some more? That's BS alot of people I know think the same thing but at least some of you pointed him in the right direction.

hey newbie, we helped him out. Get off our case. We aren't being to harsh. We told him what to do and had a little fun doin it (DYohn weedwacker on steroids) lol

Ya, I guess I am just use to my home audio page where when some one askes a real question they are pointed in the right direction with out pointing fun at a person who just dose not know better.why does my sub pop at high vol - Page 3 -- posted image.
