I'm trying to form the front of a center console and have tried hot glue... I'm not even going to try spray adhesive because I just don't think it will work.

Staples don't do it either.

How about the instant setting epoxy you can get at Pep Boys and such...?

I need the fleece to be pretty darn tight.

Help me out because I'm stuck.

all I can think of is hot glue. Give it another try. Post some pics so we can see what you are doing.
Why do you ask if I ate paint chips when I was younger?

Yeah why will staples not work? Hot glue works really well. I tried it just recently with this trunk lid and it worked great.

Staples are my first and formost. Other than those... I use the:
ADH120
$7.74
"Aerosol Installer Bond 120 Adhesive"
found at selectproducts
TRUST ME this shhh works!
I use that for those hard to reach spaces that the staple gun can't go into.

Here is a link to another thread on the console and the below picture is of the part of the console I'm talking about.  The area along thebottom where there is no arrow is the area where I'm pulling the fleece down and around that part of the lower trim piece and attempting to secure it to the inside of it.

Even if staples would go through the plastic, I'd be no good because they would poke through the fleece on the outside of the trim piece.

I have ADH120 but figured it wouldn't work if hot glue didn't.  I'm going to try it and if that doesn't work I'm going to drill little holes through the trim piece and use copius amounts of hot glue and hope that works... talk about a pain in the ars.

I can't go and get that instant bond epoxy because there's another damn hurricane outside right now...

Oh so the hot glue didnt stick to the plastic did it?  I see what your saying man, I would try that glue you guys are talking about. Also that CA glue they say will not come loose. Cyanoacrylate Glue  is supposed to be awesome.

Yeah, the ADH120 should hold that...at least until you pull it off if you plan too. It isn't a perminant solution, it just holds in places that staples can't until the mold is finished...which is what I thought you were doing. If you want it to be secured you should think about that CA glue everyone on here talks about like realitycheck said.

Is there a place locally that I can get it?  There is a Select Products warehouse nearby.
