looking at a class D alphasonik. PMA1200 DA.   its for about $500. question is. lets see..

2400 watts RMS at 1ohm mono

is that a true 2400 watts? and the amp is 1ohm stable. the THD is <0.08%

those are the specs from alphasonik.com anyways.. should i go with something like that or something like JL Audio 1000x1 or what? or maybe even a hole alpine system. i was thinking about gettin the alphasonik PMA1200 and two of the new 900series subs they have comin out. i can get those for like 275 each. any feedback is greatly appreciated.
