I am installing a Crimestopper CS-2016 system on my truck. The installation instructions say that one
wire puts out a (-)lock and (+)unlock pulse. The other wire puts out a (-) unlock and (+) lock pulse on the lock/unlock wires. How do I hook these wire up to work the door locks on my 2002 Silverado pickup? Will I need any additional equipment to do this (relays, diodes)??
I really appreciate any help.
Thanks
PS - You can go to www.crimestopper.com and view the installation manual for this product (CS-2016).

CS suggest you use Diodes or Relays for Door Lock hook-up.

Some installers hook direct, but that is NOT a good practice.

I did ask before, but was for a different crimestopper product. I also, wanted to make sure I gave as much information as I could. What type of diodes will I need
and how will I need to install them? As you can tell I am not a professional installer, but I do know my limitations. I just want the thing to work and not mess up my truck.
Thanks for your help

If I need to use relays will I be changing the polarity or what? I am confused by cs listing - and + on each wire.
Thanks again

Some Units automatically switch Door Lock Voltage.
Some Units have to be Programmed.
Your Installation Manual should have that.
I believe that the CS-2016 does NOT need to be programmed.
U will need 2 Diodes for connections
