Cowboy21,

If your talking about shutting off the DLR's this will not work, you have to bypas that relay and then you also have to cut the wire in teh BCM under the dash to stop the signal . other wise year your correct it will shut the DLR circut off but will throw a code to the computer saying your high beam is out and then it will just turn on the regular head light circut to compinsaate for the loss.

I have poured over the diograms for hours to figure it out and to see if there was a easy fix to it. but they made this one something tuffer then just pulling the fuse i wish this was a option or soemthing that had a by pass like some of the trucks have.

by DLR's do u mean the driving lights or angel rings? because he stated when the driving lights were on he wanted the angel rings off, not the other way round, i don't see how this would cause a problem.

say the angel rings are turned on by a 12+ then have thier own ground connect the relay so the ground has to go through the relay so when there is no power going through the coil the ground is connected, and when there is power going through the coil the ground gets disconnected, and just use the power from the driving lights to pass through the coil and wahla no ground to the angel rings, therefore turning off when the driving lights are on.

DLR's = Day Light Running Lights.

As far as doing it the way you sujested here im not sure on that i would have to look at it again to find out if it would work but sounds like it should .

My thing is i want to make the angel eyes replace the DLR function in my car. Then i would not care if they are on all the time as i would not have everyone flashing thier lights at me to turn mine off .

yeah they come on any time the car is turned on or in gear. Chevy really out did them selves on this one. they have it going threw the computer so it will know if the light is out or not, by doing this it makes it really hard  to shut them off with out destroying the circut or wires etc.. I am hoping that if i can figure it out i will make the angel eyes become the DLR.  then leave the other lights work like a normal system with the auto on.

at dusk they come on to low beam.

durring the day

they come on sense to much ambieant light and then shut off but turn on the DLR. (high beam at a lower watage)

So I would like to get it to turn on the angel eyes instead of the DLR's when it would normally turn on the DLR . and still beabel to have the high beams on the car when i need them at night. I am not real sure if i can do this with out having a issue of the eye's becomeing the high beam and canceling out the high beams all to geather. I know they have a seperate cicut for the DLR just not sure if there are seperate wires for them goign to the head lights them selves. Somethign that runs at a lower voltage. 0r if it is the computer regulating this.

ok it does sound a little tricky, but let me understand a few more things...

do u want the DLR to work at all anymore, or just completely replace them?

have you got or made the angel rings yet?

i have heard of a componsater the bassicly draws a specified amount ot watts to run lower wattage lights, mainly used on motorbikes to replace indicators, look into them maybe and just wire the rings into the DLR circut

As far as the DLR. I want to replace them completly  with the angel eyes. No i havent made the rings yet i wanted to make sure i could do it. But i can also buy just the rings for like 30.00 euro. so i could get them with in 7 days etheir way/
