I need help I'm putting in a alarm/ remote start in a 2002 f350 ford and I cant get the remote start to start the truck. Now if I take the wire going to my door trigger off and just put 12v on it for sec. then everything works fine. so I did the diode on the driver side do I have to do this on all four doors and if so where do I find the wires and what color.  also by putting in the diodes will by alarm still work when someone opens the door????

This is a Black Widow BW-Z5

Do you have 2 seperate issues or are you saying the door trigger problem is causing your remote start problem?

I can't imagine why a door trigger would cause you remote starter not to function unless you're using the hood trigger input wire instead of the door tigger. The door triggers shouldn't do anything to stop the starter from functioning. This isn't a manual transmission remote start unit is it?
if that's the case is the vehicle manual or automatic? Is the unit set for manual operation?

MANUAL TRANSMISSION MODE
On manual transmission vehicles, the remote
start feature will not operate unless the proper
vehicle exit sequence is performed. This
operating mode protects against in-gear
starting but is not completely without risk.
Installation and safe use of the remote start
feature on a manual transmission vehicle is at
the sole risk of the vehicle’s owner, and the
manufacturer assumes no liability for
installation in manual transmission vehicles.
Manual Transmission Safe Mode Exit Sequence:
With the engine running and the parking brake
set, press the unlock button. Turn ignition off
(engine will stay running) and open the doors,
then exit the vehicle. When all doors are
closed, press lock button to turn off the engine
and arm the system. The system will be able to
remote start as long as the alarm is not
disarmed prior to remote starting.
