THANKS!  Can I just clarify that if I leave the lock/unlock chirps on, then the horn will also honk.  But if I turn them off, it will only honk when the alarm is fullly triggered?  What about the warnaway?

Thanks man!

You're welcome cpgoose. If you leave the arm/disarm chirps on, the horn may "chirp" occassionally without any consistancy. Most of the time it will probably not sound during arm and disarm.

The "warnaway" may also cause the horn to sound.  Once you get it hooked up, let us know how it turns out.

Locate the horn fuse and use the same size. It's probably a 10 or 15 amp fuse.

hey, check it out.  I fiiiiinally tried this out, and got it to work.  I hooked it up exactly as in the above diagram, and it didn't work.  AFter hitting my head on the dash over and over, I realized that I was sending the flasher (and the horn) a positive pulse (since 87 was connected to 12v+), and the horn needed a negative pulse to operate.  So, I connected 87 to a (-) connection, and it worked!  Sweeet!  I hope this is correct, and that I'm not hurting anything. I didn't use any inline fuses since I wasn't hooked up to 12v+ (well, excpet for the feed from the alarm wire).

Anywho.....the horn honks when the siren goes off.  Man is that loud!  Plus, it doesn't honk the horn with the arm/disarm chirps....which is exactly what I wanted it to do.  Awesome!

ok, i thought i was done.... I'm not sure if it's me or not...but I was setting off the alarm to see if the horn would honk, and it was fine. what i'm noticing is that it takes the alarm to respond to the remote now, though, but just in terms of shutting off the alarm. everything else (doors, rs, ...) work fine. Is there any reason that doing this horn install can make the alarm sound for a minimum amount of time or something?

Can anyone please tell me if I hooked this up correctly?  Yes, the horn honks with the alarm, but now the alarm doesn' t like to shut off when I test it.  I hold down PANIC, and it goes off.....then it takes like 15 seconds (or multiple, multiple pushes of the remote) to get the alarm to shut off.  Could installing this horn honk feature delay that at all?

Thanks!!!!!
