Anybody install remote start 05 Tacoma

Most of the newer cars build the keyless entry into the BCM. I managed to rewire the keyless on an older Highlander, and a 2003 Honda Odyssey......but on the newer Accords and Odysseys it seems to be impossible. You can poke around at the BCM/fusebox, test all the wires.....if you find one that tests as ignition cut it......if that gets the keyless to work with the RS on, configure a relay to interrupt that wire ONLY with the RS on.....and even then it may not work right. I tried doing the same thing on a new Toyota Sienna.....the keyless would work, but the heater/AC wouldn't.......obviously that makes the remote start pointless. Honestly, you'd probably have saved a lot of time just to buy a unit with keyless.
