Something is missing

I have a two L7 12's, infinity kappa 5.25 components, and infinity kappa 6x9 3ways in the rear.  I have no midrange.  I am very happy with the hi's and the lows but the mids are non existing.  Please give me some advice.

What vehicles is this in. What amps are driving the Infinity's, what head unit are you using? Need more information to give you any good advice. Jazzy

I have a pioneer I believe 4600,  the car is a 92 pontiac bonneville,  kicker kx 1200.1 running the subs and legacy la160 running the interior.  and DYohn I am just going by my ear that the sound just isn't very full its basically just hi's and lows.

Your radio has an EQ on it, try modifying the settings on that to suit your tastes.

Yes, try the EQ.  That Legacy amp could be the problem as they sound like crap.  (Legacy amp for Infinity Kappa speakers is like trying to power your F150 with a lawnmower engine.)Support the12volt.com

How can we give you advice? We have no idea what you crossover points are, we don't know what kind of power you are running... Are your Infinity speakers crossed over at all? Are they runnning off deck power? Where are they PHYSICALLY located in the car? Doors? rear deck? WAY too many variables to say "This is your problem." BUT, I had a friend who just did a moderate system in his full-size Chevy pickup, and he was complaining of the very same thing. When he brought it over, we did some playing around with the crossover points, played a little bit with the EQ in his 8455, and some other things, and we ended up in a slightly better position than when he rolled in, but still not great. The JL components he had in the doors would just NOT give him the mid-range output he was looking for. Personally, I figured it was one of two things: 1: He just was never going to get the mid-range response out of those JL's that he was looking for, or, 2: The physical locations of the speakers were not going to allow the sound-power to ever be as flat or as loud as he was looking for. My suggestions as solutions for these two things: 1: New speakers. He bought the JL's because they were expensive, and he thought more money MUST mean better speakers. (Now he knows better), or, 2: Modify the doors to aim the speakers to the ear a little more or move them higher in the doors - this he was ABSOLUTELY dead-set against, it's a work truck... or, 3: Different speaker set - something with a better tweeter which would allow him to change the crossover point to allow a better sound-power in the truck cab. He is probably going to follow this advice... ::::EDIT:::: I got this in AFTER everybody else did... still, even though you have answered some of the questions already, the advice/solutions are still the same.It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. Well the the components and the 6x9's both came with a passive crossover so they are not hooked up to my crossover at all.  The component are in the front door were it comes stock with a space for the woofer and the tweeter.  The 6x9's are in the rear deck.  Any advice on good a four channel amp to run my components and the 6x9's they are both infinity kappas.
