need to reprogram 556L

Kevin.... the 556L loses it's mind when power is removed. You can also easily change modes by flipping the key on and off too many times in succession. Overall, I am not too impressed by this piece. For newer GMs I believe I will stick to the 2 relays/resistance method. 555L is a super solid piece (and would have been better in this application), the 556L tries to do too many things. Oh well.... too old fashioned I guess. Gus PS: 556H will work on 2005+ Hondas with remote keys....Wherever I go, that is where I end up......

The 556L is being discussed here....it just came out this year. I think you are referring to the 555L.

hey i'm a little slow on the uptake..... lol     i just think of a 556L as a renumbered version of the 555L.... i wasnt aware they made any substantial software changes to this piece.... and it's theoretically so obsolete now it shouldnt be an issue anyway... i mean, who cuts passlock wires anymore?Kevin Gerry
