Sounds like I might be as old as you ...hopefully not older ;) I didn't make it to the west coast until '87. I remember a Paul, but he was the founder of Audiomobile and lived near Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach if memory serves correctly. I moved back here in '89 shortly after my son (aka 6 volt) was born. He's now wanting to dust off much of my old equipment to throw into his vehicle.

Where is Rich Coe these days? Anybody know? Last I heard he was trying to turn Coustic into a legit manufacturer.

I don't remember the first "official sound-off" (or maybe I do ;), but I do remember competitions as far back as 1982. I also remember Linear, Concord and Speaker Works ...met Mark Fukuta at a Sony Zone show in Detroit more than 10 years ago. How about Munsie 8-tracks, Panasonic's c**kpits, Audiomobile, Bozak woofers, Sony's Shuttle, Monolithic amplifiers,  Clarion's 300EQB...?

ahh yes monolithic they had a dual mono class A 50 wattsX2 for a mere $1500.00

I remember if you had a Craig powerplay 8 track and a pair of Mindblower 9x9's you were the S--t.But if you rolled the windows down in your 1974 Olds 88 or 98 it looked like Cheech and Chong were riding with you.
