I found the hood pin wire(per wiring diagram) but could not see a hood switch device? [tan/ light green(-)]

No voltage on it / closed or open just a constant 100ohms either open or closed to chassis ground and it runs into the key switch?

I hate the tought of using the pin switch that comes with the Valet 562T.

I have a 2000 ford explorer and I dont even have a hood switch, if you happen to have a light in the hood, which I dont, it is a mercury controlled switch, I would rather use the hood pin.
