as I stated earlier I believe the tach signal is good, the reason I believe this is that the remote display does show that the car is running so it is communicating with module and being told that by module

correct????? yes or no??

Have you tried leaving the tach wire unhooked? The unit might be able to sense a voltage change through the main power wires.

I still will have to go back to my earlier post about the programming options being listed in the manual. I know I'm kind of kicking this horse to death, but I've done several brands of remote start and all of them, sometimes very deep in the poorly written/translated owner's manual, had some sort of instructions to change settings on the remote start that maybe look something like this:
Run time - 10 or 20 min.
Sensing mode - Tach, voltage, oil pressure
Unlock pulse - single, double
Etc., etc., etc.
The method of programming varies between brands...usually it's a combination of pushing the brake pedal, switching the ignition, pushing the valet switch, and pushing buttons on the remote. I think it's unconscionable that they would not have anything at all about how to program written in the owner's manual; however I couldn't find this manual on the net anywhere - if you have a link post it and I'll take a look.
As far as your starter kill idea, it's good in theory; however most remote starts that I've done will shut off the ignition after a few seconds or so if they don't think the car's running(which all indications are is your problem).

bear with me, I will scan the programming page for you to see, I cannot see anything that would have to do with programing tach signal
