Factory RKE on a 01 Strauts SE

If I were to wire directly from the relay i would wire from PIN 85 for both the lock and the unlock, correct? And would that be the simplest way?

Yea, the factory lock and unlock.

Page 6 in your Install manual shows how to wire for POSITIVE Door Locks........You would hook your Resistors accordingly.........and then hook those to the Vehicle Single wireOther wise ...If you go to the FACTORY Relays in the Fuse Box , you can NEGATIVE Pulse one of the PINS on each Relay for LOCK & UNLOCK.  There is usually 3 or 4 Relays for the Door Locks On the Fuse PanelMO
