Hey guys!

I hope some of you may helpme ....I want to know excactly how to do the Big 3 to my sunfire 2001...I don´t know the stock ampers of the alternator but when I turn the volume loud the dome lights begin tilting a little bit (amp rockford forsgate mod 500X, 500 watts rms and a sub Comp Kicker05CVR124, 400watts rms)  ....and want to add a second amp (autotek o alpine 50 watts rms x 4 AB class)...

What would you suggest???

Do a search on this forum.  All your questions should be answered.  If not, then as more specific ones.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

Before buying a new alternator change out the big 3 with some 4 awg or larger. Make sure you have clean grounds, and a decent battery. If you are still having power issues then start looking into alternators.

I have never looked at a sunfire, but you are going to have a battery to chassis ground, engine to chassis ground, and then the 12+ usually goes from the alternator to a main fuse block, and then from the fuse block to the battery. Some people run a 12+ straight to the battery and use an inline fuse, but that is up to you. You are going to have to trace them out and remove any looming if needed. Also pick up the right size fittings, heatshrink additional looming if needed, and a crimper. Its not the easiest thing to do so give your self plenty of time.
