I normally install Ultra-Start units, but have a Code-Alarm here.  I can't get the thing to program correctly.  It is a CA-510 remote-start and keyless entry.

The manual has info on how to program it using the lock and unlock button of the remote for seperate functions... only problem is, these are the same button on the remote!

There are suppose to be 10 features able to be programmed, and I can only get the lights to flash up to four times (not ten) to 'select a feature'.

If anyone has any experience with incorrect manuals or unusual programming quirks with these, or similar units, please let me know.  Thanks.

OK, I got it to work.  I don't know how.  It still baffles me that the programming in the manual refers to the lock and unlock as seperate buttons on the transmitter.

It also refers to them seperately in the owner's manual.  I hope that the owner doesn't notice that, or if they do, I hope it doesn't bother them.

I am just glad to get it installed and programmed... finally.
