I have a prestiege (audiovox) alarm w/ remote start and the tach got unprogrammed after having the battery disconnected for some time. I tried the instruction manual's procedure for tach re-programming but it did not work. I think the sensor may have been accedentally pulled loose. where can i find this (and how to fix it)  on a 1997 silverado pickup?

thanks

you can never have too much of a good thing

Audiovox usually uses a GREEN/ orange wire for their tach wire. You may have to trace where it goes to see if it is still connected. It may go to the back of the motor towards the ignition system or towards the engine computer on driver's side fender.
