had a tech in my shop that was working on a 04 Honda Accord.  by mistake he taped into the keysense wire and now the keysense does not work.  in addition it now showing circut low current faults on a few sensors one of them being the throttle position.  therefore the car runs fine at idle but does not recongnize the accelorator.  I checked the ECM and PCM and nothing was burnt out or anything, but without the keysense wire it does not of corse sense the key in the ignition.  can anyone offer any suggestions of what  I can do to get this customer's car back on the road?

What did he tap into the keysense wire?
Was it something that applied current of anysort?
What was he installing on the car?
Is the check engine light on?
Last ditch effort would be to reset the ecu and starting the car and seeing if it works. If this doesn't resolve the problem then it sounds like off to the dealer the car will go.

He was installing a remote start add on, and yes he applied pos polarity to a neg trigger which rest at pos.  However you can apply neg current to the keysense wire and it will began to work but it's not being triggered from the source. and finally yes the check engine light is on.  As I said before the car starts and runs but some of the sensors are saying low current, and thus since one of the is the throttle position it does not respond to the accelorator

The keysense is part of the multiplex modules and if part of the module is burned out, you have to get the entire module replaced or taken out to be repaired. Chances are Honda will just replace it then repair it. If you have friends in Honda, hopefully they will submit this as a warranty item and you won't have to pay for this part.

If you are saying the car seems fine if you tap ground to the keysense wire, then the problem must be in the ignition switch. Applying 12volts to the keysense means the voltage traveled toward it's apposing voltage source, which is the switch. If there still is ground at the input for the keysense at the ignition switch and there is no ground coming out when the key is applied, it only stands to reason that the problem is in the switch, right?

Maybe it requires the keysense not to get those codes....

That's what I'm thinking as well which is again why I'm tring to fing the location of the multiplex moduel so that I can verify if it's the problem
