Well, I'm getting the distinct impression that the US and other manufacturers that explicitly state not to use their RS units for manual transmissions are doing so purely for liability reasons. A case in point check out the two links that follow, it's my belief that these are both the same unit yet the Crimestopper version says DO NOT use on a manual, but the other says manual RS OK, you decide. Also, a question for Jeff regarding the Aladdin system, do the alarm brains that are sold in the US have the temperature sensor port? And do the LCD Pager Remotes have the necessary elements for displaying temp? I bet they do, and it's simply a matter of getting the optional temperature sensor and plugin it in. Just curious, anyway here are the e-bay links:

Zach, Thanks for the information. I have an email in to GIT now.
Has anyone here actually used, or installed, anything made by G.I.T.?

As far as the FCC concern...Isn't the Autopage 750 FCC legal in the states? I know my key fobs have the FCC ID # right on the back of them. I can't check the brain because it's already installed but I believe it also had an FCC ID on it. I would also gather that the Marksman should be also because it's the same as the Autopage. Why do some people make them seem as though they are illegal? Are they just people from other companys trying to push their products?

  • There is not temparature sensor port on the US models. The remotes may have the option on there but all the manuals that I have do not lead me to where it is on the remote controls. If this is the case, then I wish I knew where the prot was, but I do not want to push the warranty issue with the manufacturer and loose my potential contract with them .
